New FCC Regulatory and Application Fees

 

The FCC recently announced their latest regulatory and application fees that became effective on September 9, 2011.  The items of interest for the Private Land Mobile Radio Services are as follows:

 

§  Fees are assessed on a per-application or call sign basis with 10 year license terms unless otherwise noted.

§  The rule waiver fee increased from $170.00 to $180.00.

§  Governmental Entities are exempt from FCC fees.

 

The new fees for new stations, renewal, or renewal/modification applications and other actions in the Private Land Mobile Radio Service are:

 

§  Frequencies below 470 MHz (except 220 MHz), 902-928 MHz & Radiolocation and 3650-3700 MHz Band (PMRS):  $260.00

 

§  Frequencies 470 and above and 220 MHz:  $460.00

 

§  220 MHz nationwide:   $460.00

 

§  Modification, Non-Profit, For Profit Special Emergency, CMRS, or Special Temporary Authority, Assignment of Authorization, Transfer of Control:  $60.00

 

§  Rule Waiver:  $180.00 (Based on the number of stations multiplied by the number of rule sections by $180.00)
