The FCC announced that
regulatory and application fees have increased effective September 25, 2008.
- Fees are assessed on a per-application or call
sign basis with 10 year license terms unless otherwise noted.
- These fees have increased for various licensees
in the Private Land Mobile Radio Service, except Governmental Entities
that are exempt from FCC fees.
The new fees for new stations, renewal, or renewal/modification
applications and other actions in the Private Land Mobile Radio Service are:

Frequencies
below 470 MHz (except 220 MHz), 902-928 MHz & Radiolocation and 3650-3700
MHz Band (PMRS): $260.00
- Frequencies 470 and above and 220 MHz: $460.00
- 220 MHz nationwide: $460.00.
- Modification, Non-Profit, For Profit Special
Emergency, CMRS, or Special Temporary Authority, Assignment of
Authorization, Transfer of
Control: $60.00. Please note,
this fee has not changed.
- Rule Waiver: $170.00. (Based on the number of
stations multiplied by the number of rule sections by $170.00.)
